We engage over 300 children annually through creative learning programs based in the Mad River Valley of Vermont. Every project is celebrated and shared with friends, family, and neighbors through interactive community events. Events have been hosted at our workspace at Knoll Farm in Fayston, as well as at local schools and community spaces including Green Mountain Valley School, Waitsfield Elementary School, Beeman Elementary School, Pony Farm, Moretown, and the Phantom Theater in Warren, Vermont.
February 8, 2019 | GMVS 7th grade students presented their projects to the community during a special afternoon Read and play event. They shared their toy kitchen, Tesla push car, craft table, benches, train table, and book shelves.
Oct 30- Nov 9, 2018 | We transformed the Phantom Theater into a pop-up escape room in Warren, VT. Over the course of 11 days we hosted 44 groups (175 people) in our hand-built adventure game.
October 25, 2018 | After seven weeks of work, we unveiled our 10' Connect-Four board, plywood air hockey table (powered by shop-vac), robot-themed Plinko board, DIY claw machine, and more at our 2nd annual community carnival.
July 20, 2019 | After a week of non-stop inventing, making, testing and rebuilding, a group of 14 kids and 6 boats made their voyage across the lake.
July 4, 2018 | Kids made a giant birthday cake, robot, and army truck for the Independence day parade in Warren, VT.
June 17, 2018 | Friends and family gathered on Father’s Day to see kids race downhill during finale of our 4th annual soapbox derby program at Knoll Farm.
May 5, 2018 | Over the course of five days, 92 kids from Beeman Elementary School in New Haven, VT built a play hive. Students in grades K-6 and their teachers took part in the building project.
Oct 27 - Nov 5, 2017 | Our first pop-up escape room was open to the public for 10 days. During that time we hosted 52 groups (210 people) participated in this intergenerational game.
October 11, 2017 | Kids designed and built a mud kitchen for Spring Hill School in Waitsfield, Vermont. The mud kitchen play space included a water pump, cupboard, canopy, cutting table, oven and a pair of sinks.

October 23, 2016 | This interactive event featured life-size carnival games including a giant skee-ball ramp, presidential election-themed darts, and a leaf dumper.
